Getting quite excited about leaving 18 days to go. We have packed and repacked a number of times. We have read that we need to attempt to carry less than 10% body weight ( not clear what this means, if that is lean body mass im screwed, if it's real weight i could take the kitchen sink!). We are trying to balance light weight, but not too austyre. Any way it now stands at just over 9 kg.

I know this seems a bit heavy but is very inclusive. The toiletries includes towel (speedo chamois, soap, tooth brush & paste, medication, first aid). The spare cloths include spare pants, 2 shirts (~100geach), fleecy, socks, undies and skins in waterproof bag. Go bag contains camera, phone, money, passport, compass, lighter. I did think about a new pack, however this is used, comfortable and a known quantity vs saving a 1000g. i hope i can live with that. at least i am not carrying stove/food.
