10th June. Estella to Los arcos

The scrambled egg previously mentioned was accompanied by some very loud? Spanish? French marching music, I guess it was meant to be inspirational, well we were happy anyway to escape that town. We visited the bodega wine and water fuente in Irache.
Most people were happy to use their scallop shells, but not our Stuart. He filled his water bottle with the beautiful red wine. tough and mentally challenging day that seems to go on forever. As always the visuals are magnificent. The fields of wheat, poppies, daisies, grape vines, passed by horses. A long walk but made bearable by the company of fellow pilgrims. Finally arrived in Los Arcos. Not an inspiring entrance but once we wandered into the old town with a square and umbrellas we felt a lot better.
Booked into the municipal accommodation which was nice, run by a really friendly Belgium man. Shoes off, crocs on and back to the square for beer and sangria.
