14th June Najera to Santa Domingo

A couple of quiet days. Spent he night in Santa Domingo in an old convent. Beautiful old building and still run by nuns. It is one of the 2 albergues here In town, the other municipal albergue looks great also. I think it was the peacefulness and history of this one great appealed most, it had the most magnificent kitchen with a massive fireplace and long long tables. Looking forward to cooking a nice pasta feast in there.

The town of Santa Domingo has great atmosphere, beautiful cathedral and we managed to climb the bell tower to be rewarded some pretty amazing views.

Of course there were a couple of bells also. Very loud bells

There were some of the usual tourist traps also! Bit of a legend to do with the chook. There are always 2 chooks kept in the church!
