I knew it would happen, maybe just hoped really hard but today dawned under a cover of fog ,then developed into the most glorious day. Day 1 of our fairly epic journey.

Soon after leaving st jean the road begins to climb and climb. Some of the way we follow the road but soon it becomes the fields, the cows and oh the views!!!! But we still climb..........

I have to pinch myself to realise we are climbing the Pyrenees, it is really tough but we can see so much . The views are sensational.

Only an 10 km day,but of course have I mentioned its uphill? So we arrive in orrision and the relaxing afternoon is spent with a beverage , on a deck  with stupendous views. What's not to love?
