3 June

Well, what a bus ride that turned out To be! No visibility and fog and drizzle settling nicely on top of the bus. Thankfully we survived. It was beautiful even cloaked all that wet. We got to see and drive through some of the villages we will be walking back to in the next few days. Survive we did and arrive in the sweetest little French village one can imagine.

All the business stuff done, checked into pilgrim office, received our pilgrim passport. It's official, we are pilgrims and will begin walking on tues.

The refugio we are staying in is the second oldest building in town, run by a Dutch couple and staffed by volunteers. All have walked the camino in its various guises and love to continue the spirit in their home. They only host a max of 18 guests so the dinners tend to be a happy, noisy affair initiated by everyone giving a brief introduction about themselves and what brings them to this place. thankfully mostly in English but French , Dutch , German and Spanish which our host seemlessly switches between.

Not a dry eye in the house. It seems the stories for our caminos are very similar.
Fabulous food, fabulous company and enough red wine to keep our training on track.
i know you are all waiting with baited breath for theses posts but we will probably be out of touch till back in Spain. Wifi hard to find.
